Energy Taiwan Forum 2018

Show Dates: 19-21 September, 2018
Nangang Exhibition Center

Taiwan has been pursuing a new course in renewable energy. This includes phasing out nuclear energy by 2025 and raising the share of renewable energies in power generation to 20%, similar to the concept of the “Energiewende”. To achieve this goal, smart grids and new measurement systems must be implemented and innovations for the storage of large amounts of energy promoted. At the end of 2015, the share of the nuclear industry in power generation was around 14%., of fossil fuels 80.6%, and of renewable energies 4.1%.

The German Trade Office Taipei is organizing a German pavilion this year at Wind Energy Taiwan, a partial exhibition of Energy Taiwan (until 2017 "PV Taiwan"). Last year, the fair attracted 10,048 visitors from different countries and is, with 145 exhibitors and 450 booths, one of the world's leading B2B trade fairs for intelligent and renewable energies.
