Nowadays digital transformation is ever-present. In this type of environment conventional working concepts are no longer up-to date and are even posing problems in certain areas. Projects are getting more and more complex and project teams with partners from all over the world frequently exist only virtually. In most cases screens or smart phones are now the places of work. We are therefore facing the challenge to work effectively in the virtual world.

The Asian and European culture are fundamentally different which makes it difficult to assess the diverse behavior and thinking patterns. The objective of this course is to learn, how to recognize possible “conflict-areas”, how to conduct intercultural communication, how to deal with different business practices and mentalities as well as to apply constructive possibilities of problem solving if conflicts should occur.

1. Intercultural approach – perception and handling of cultural differences
2. Systemic Thinking Approach in project management
3. Intercultural communication: patterns, methods and tools
4. Identifying, avoiding and solving conflicts
5. Case studies, exercises and film clips
