The taxation world is being significantly changing with the upcoming of new regulations addressing very recent issues. A major change is being passed worldwide in order to prevent tax evasion and money laundering, which consists of implementing the automatic exchange of information among countries on individuals and companies, with the active assistance of financial institutions and tax authorities. A complete overview of that system will be provided.

Besides, very recent technological developments have made crypto-currencies develop, posing new challenges to regulators and tax authorities, also in connection with the fight against tax evasion and money laundering. An update on legal and tax regulations will be presented.

At last, Taiwan tax laws have recently changed in a substantial manner, for both companies and individuals subject to Taiwan tax laws. A detailed presentation will be given to share the most important updates brought.

Mr. Pascal Thien-Ah-Koon is an attorney-at-law, and the managing partner in Taiwan for Ecovis law firm. He has been in Taiwan for over thirteen years and has extensive experience in cross-border transactions and taxation, intellectual property and high technologies.

Mr. Henry Liao is a US-Taiwan licensed CPA, and the managing partner in Taiwan for Ecovis CPA firm. He has strong expertise in accounting and taxation and advises numerous global groups with operations in Taiwan and abroad.

Ms. Lucie Pichler is a jurist graduated from Austria and is currently working in the Taipei Ecovis law firm office.

Registrations can be cancelled up to twenty calendar days prior to the course date with no cancellation fee being charged. However cancellations made five calendar days prior to the course date will be charged with 10% course fee charge.
